Registered Charity No. 237601. An ancient charity run by trustees who, in the 17th century, were called Feoffees, meaning persons invested with a freehold estate in land for charitable purposes. Its objective is to provide housing accommodation for beneficiaries and to provide educational benefits not normally provided by the local education authority. From 2015, income from letting the upper room of the Town Hall helps pay for upkeep of the almshouses.

Charity No. 244503

The Holly Tree Club was formed in the 1960s as a meeting place for the elderly and disabled of the Parish of Deddington by its kind donor, Mrs Cora Collin.

Anyone aged over 55 years is eligible to become a member; members’ coffee mornings are held every Monday from 10.30am to midday. Occasional outings and other recreational activities are organised, self-funded by members.

The Holly Tree Club is managed by a committee of volunteer trustees.
The hall and gardens can be hired out to individuals and groups for meetings, parties and events, the income from which maintains the building and its environs.

The hall was renovated and refurbished in phase one of a two-phase project of updates and extensions.
