Charity No. 244503 The Holly Tree Club was formed in the 1960s as a meeting place for the elderly and disabled of the Parish of Deddington by its kind donor, Mrs Cora Collin. Anyone aged over 55 years is eligible to become a member; members’ coffee mornings are held every Monday from 10.30am to midday. Occasional outings and other recreational activities are organised, self-funded by members. The Holly Tree Club is managed by a committee of volunteer trustees. The Holly Tree Hall is managed by a committee of volunteer trustees. The hall was completely renovated and refurbished in phase one of a two-phase project of updates and extensions. The hall benefits from kitchenette, cinema screen, projection equipment, hearing loop, ramped access and disabled toilet, though isn’t wheelchair friendly at this time. The multi-purpose Windmill Centre provides sports and recreational facilities. Outside facilities include: a six-acre playing field; an all-purpose floodlit all-weather court; three all-weather tennis courts and Mini Tennis courts for the Under-8s; an Adventure Playground and Woodland Trail for 6-12 yrs and a Pocket Park for Under-6s; open access MUGA and a Fitness Trail. Floodlit car park, and a ramp allow disabled access to the ground floor. The whole area is covered by cctv. Inside areas comprise: on the ground floor, hall marked out for badminton; stage; lounge; high-spec recently refurbished and fully equipped small meeting room; recently refurbished kitchen; changing rooms, showers and unisex toilets (including a disability toilet and baby change).
