Thames Water is slowly moving south down New Street, much to the relief of those living on High Street. It’s a huge inconvenience but at least there will be 21st century drains instead of the Victo rian ones we’ve been surviving with for years. Thanks to County Councillor Epps for keeping the traffic management company on their toes.
It’s worth noting for those, like me, who jaywalk across the main traffic lights at the crossroads, the sequencing has now been changed, presumably to allow more vehicles travelling south to legally pass through the lights.
