Haywards shop closed mid-1980s and Wallins a couple of years later. Wallins' bakery was still next door where estate agents Hayward White opened in 1989. The A-frame board pointed up the Tchure to the second-hand furniture shop in Foresters Hall in Foresters Yard, later part of Philip Allan Updates and, in 2024, residential houses.
