Time Capsule, 1996

In February 1996 a time capsule containing details of businesses in Deddington was buried beneath the Town Hall. Photographs and documents relating to firms in the village will give a unique insight into 1990s business life when it is opened in 2096. Jamie Dexter Harrison, then owner of Dexters Restaurant in the Market Place, buried copies of his menus and wine lists, and drawings and paintings by Primary School children were also included. Participating firms and the Parish Council made a donation to Katharine House Hospice.
