The Housing Association (Charity No. 237601) oversees the upkeep of four cottages on Earl’s Lane. It was established in the early 1970s following a generous donation from Cora Collin, a local resident. The object of the Association is ‘to provide housing for aged and/or physically disabled persons in necessitous circumstances within the parish of Deddington upon terms appropriate to their needs’.
Three of the four cottages are suitable for a single occupant and the fourth for two occupants. Whenever they become available for rent an advertisement is placed in Deddington News and on notice boards around the parish. The Association committee is made up of volunteers from the village; the committee strives to ensure the cottages are maintained to a high standard, while at the same time keeping the rents charged as low as possible.
