1937 Deddington Calendar
This linocut by Tom was used for a 1937 Calendar. It was re-used for the March 1978 Deddington News cover together with the following information about the 1937 Calendar
"This was not a day and date calendar ... but contained a collection of sayings, proverbs and quotations contributed by village people and others, one for each day of the month."
"The calendar was sold in aid of the Church Tower Restoration Fund which needed £300 for urgent repairs. Mounted copies of the lino cut were sold for 1/6d, or 2/6d on special paper and signed by the artist. Mrs Alice Sykes, Market Place, lent us her copy..."
