Anecdotal evidence from John Bowerman (d.1998), a former member of the Deddington Home Guard, is that the Nissen hut in the grounds of Manor Farm, Clifton, was used by the HG.
It is a substantial construction measuring approx 25 x 10 yards with dormer style windows on each long side but no indication that there had been a fireplace or chimney or a plinth for a stove.
In 2022 the hut is completely derelict and less than half of its cladding survives. A planning application has been made to replace it with a like for like structure.
