Joseph William French was known as Bill. He was born in 1866 in Duns Tew and died 9 Jan 1960 in Snitterfield. The taller lady on Bill's left is Flow Plackett who was Headmistress of a girls' school. On his right is his daughter Gladys (b.1899) who was also a teacher. The other shorter lady could be Florence, who was Flow's housekeeper.
